Style Steal

I'm a big believer in liking something for what it is, not how much it costs. Although I often feel like I'm naturally drawn to the finer things (doesn't that figure...), I love when I'm drawn to something that is a steal! With that said, I have decided to feature "Style Steal." It will be posts dedicated to great products found at an amazing price! Hope you enjoy!

Today's Style Steal:

Algoma Net Company hanging rope chair: Walmart

For only $29 you can enjoy all the comfort and relaxation of a hammock in half the space! I love hammocks (especially since I can enjoy them year round in Florida), but don't have room for one on my patio. This hanging chair makes it possible! You can attach to ceiling hooks, trees, or even a stand. Now where's my book...?

Sticker Collection

Maybe it's the kid in me, or maybe it's the fact that I myself used to have a very extensive sticker collection (silly but true, lol)... Regardless of why, I am fascinated with an article I read in the September issue of Elle Decor last night about wallpaper crafted out of tiny stickers by Payton Cosell Turner. At first glance it is a gorgeous simple damask-esqe pattern, but at closer look it's a whimsical mix of random stickers. You have to see this! How fun?

While I would not even attempt to claim that I have the patience to do something like this, it would be fun to try in a small dose. Like say in an art piece version in your office or on a door or other small area in a powder room. Either way, thanks to Payton Turner and Elle Decor for not only sharing this little gem but for finally giving purpose to a sticker collection!

Neon Pop

With summer winding down, I've found myself especially attracted to bright colors. I think it's my way of holding onto the "fun in the sun" attitude. Whether it's in my clothes, makeup, or accessories, I am crazy about a neon pop right now!

To hold onto summer a little longer in your home why not add a neon pop with one of these poofs. Can you say funky way to add some extra seating to your living room!

What better way to add a touch of effortless glamour to your home than with some gorgeous stone elements. I was inspired by one of my favorite necklaces right now.

Wild Blueberries

Being a native Maine girl, has always made me "Wild About Blueberries!" Here are some of my fav ways to enjoy this fruit! P.S. they're in season now!

Drop a few berries in an ice cube tray prior to freezing for a pretty and tasty spin on regular ice. For added pizazz try with shaped ice, I used stars for the 4th of July.

Blueberry pie, need I say more?! So delicious and easy I've already made three this summer! Try this classic version by Martha Stewart blueberry pie (Tip: In a pinch using store bought crust is just as good. It'll be our little secret!)

Blueberry beer in a frosty glass = ultimate summer refreshment. May I suggest Seadog "Blue Paw" or Boston Beer Works "Bluebeery Ale".

Blueberry ice cream. Simply delish!

Now that you got your blueberry fix, here's how to serve all these delicious treats!

Perfect for outdoor cocktail hour. Galvanized metal trays: Pottery Barn
How pretty would a slice of pie look on this? Delilah dessert plate: Crate & Barrel

Because they're classics. Mason Jar glasses: Pottery Barn

Simple and clean. Veranda Linen placemat & napkins: Z-Gallerie

Be a World Traveler

One of my fav ongoing trends is ethnic and tribal prints. I love how they add an exotic touch to your style. To add one of these pieces to your wardrobe try one of the options below. Go subtle with a neutral scarf or go a bit bolder with a printed dress or bright skirt. Pair with some aviator shades, bangle bracelets, and sandals and you're sure to feel like you're on vacation!

For the home it's even easier to add this exotic look. Try one of these patterned pillows on your sofa or throw on top of a simple duvet for a dramatic bedroom look.

Table linens are also a great way to try this trend. Spice up your next dinner party with a fun table runner like the one below. Set the table with lots of glass votive candle holders and simple tableware and you're sure to entertain in style. For a more simplified look try these patterned napkins with bamboo placemats and neutral dishware.
